Today's Guardian article about the lives of young carers

Thursday, 26 January 2017

Dear everyone who has kindly backed my book.

Here's a link to an article I've written for today's Guardian about the stress and stigma faced by young carers. Everyday these kids perform a lonely and emotionally complex high-wire act, hidden from the rest of society. But today is Young Carers Awareness Day.

I hope the article offers some important insights as well as thoughts about what can be done to support this vulnerable group. Please do spread it around.

And, once again, thanks so much for supporting my novel about the messy lives of young carers. It's been almost a year since we launched the crowdfunding and I know you'd like to get your hands on the book this year. To do that, we'd need to be fully-funded within the next couple of months. So I'd be really grateful if each of you could persuade just one more person to back it ths week and then we'll be done. Feel free to use the images below.

Thank you again,

Gautam
