A good Friday to all!

If you're a supporter or otherwise plugged into the Unbound network, you've undoubtedly seen this already, but I'll share anyway: As of Mon 1/20, Discarded is now officially funded!! All possible thanks to those who've decided to pitch in, and kept this book going! It's been a long while since start-up (April 2017; nearly three years!), and there were many times when I felt like throwing in the towel--yet in the end, I always held back, out of stubbornness or foolish hope, I still don't know. Now the long wait of funding is over...and the long wait of publication is just getting started! :)

The draft of Discarded (which has sat on the shelf since the start of this project) will be sent to Unbound by mid-next week, at the latest, after a last few spot changes before the much-needed buzzsaw and scalpel of professional editing. The usual period of time for this and other publication work, according to the site, is between 10 months to a year, so there's the (slim) chance all pledgers will have their copies by Christmas or a bit after.
