User reviews for Dead Babies and Seaside Towns

This book has 1 review with an average rating of 5 stars.

A searingly honest and forensic analysis of grief and the impact of its all-consuming presence on daily life and relationships. The haunting, obsessive desire for an elusive baby is humbling and revealing to those if us who have been fortunate . Alice is hard on those who do not understand or say the wrong thing (or nothing) but she is very hard on herself which softens the criticism. I could not put the book down - she writes with such painterly detail and compelling honesty that you feel you are prying in a personal diary and will be caught at any moment. I have learnt so much from Alice's story - it's places and emotions linger in my thoughts long after finishing her book.
