So here it is... My autobiography is finally written.
Eighty thousand words in total, covering over seventy years of my life. Obviously I couldn't include every detail and every story but I've put down on paper everything which is important to me. As I've said before, in writing my autobiography, I've learnt a lot about myself and my life. There are a few surprises in here too, things which I had no idea about and some which I've only just recently uncovered.
I've also had to deal with and confront some very sensitive family and personal issues, and also get my head around the break up of the original Slade. That was very tough at first but, by writing this book, I have realised that there's no such thing as a bad times, that everything is just another step forward on a greater journey. One that I'm still making.

But, saying that, I've had a great time putting this together with the good folks at Unbound and also Dave Bowler and Anthony Keates. It's been great fun and I know you'll really enjoy reading it. I've had so many smashing times, and still do, and have had lots of funny things happen to me.
I'm now just sorting out which photographs will go in. I've got loads to pick from, many of them haven't been seen before.

I'm also looking forward to sharing my story with you and I'll be out and about at the end of year promoting and talking about my autobiography.
