We made it - halfway there!
Going by the Land’s End to John O’Groats analogy we’re about to enter the Lake District, so let’s hope for good weather. Can someone pick up some mint cake along the way?
In the meantime, I’ve been busy finding new members for the journey and drumming up some interesting discussions on Facebook… how about the idea of individuals being able to mutate (and therefore ‘evolve’) within their own lifetime? Completely against the laws of Nature - on our planet. And what adaptations would you have, if you could choose? Then there are the soldiers – how would they match up against one another if push came to shove? Roman versus Viking anyone?
But what about you? What are you looking forward to most when you receive the book and delve in? Is it watching how the historic and futuristic soldiers react when they come into contact with one another? Or maybe it’s the bizarre world they enter and the science behind the fiction? Or are you looking forward to meeting the alien species our heroes face? I’d love to know!
For now, we must keep walking. Apparently, the second 50% is going to be a harder slog, so if you know anyone who wants to join us and keep our spirits up, just send them to the Darwin's Soldier facebook page:
