Thanks to you all, Darwin’s Soldiers is a quarter of the way to publication!
Going by the Land’s End to John O’Groats analogy we’re in the Midlands now – ancient Mercia. Did anyone bring a metal-detector? Let’s find a hoard! Or maybe we’ll dig up Utred’s sword?
It’s been an interesting journey so far. Like the hobbits leaving Hobbiton, I’m down to one breakfast a day and have nearly run out of sausages. We just need to keep our eyes peeled for trolls and barrow-wights.
I’ve made some new friends along the way and re-connected with old friends – who knew publishing a book was going to be so social? And there have been loads of good comments about the book from beta-readers and lots of ideas for sequels. Still, we need more people to join our rag-tag crew, safety in numbers, so please spread the word with fellow readers and writers.
I have been adding new images, old photos and updates about Darwin’s Soldiers on my Instagram page, which you can find here: https://www.instagram.com/stesharpauthor/
Let me know if you want more excerpts from the book or if you have any questions! In the meantime, here’s how the adventure begins…
