Damnable Foreword!
Hello again!
Long time no see! Happy New Year, etc… Apologies for the lack of updates. At the weekend I finished putting together some ideas for the final cover design for the book, so hopefully I’ll have some news on that fairly soon.
If you follow me on Twitter (if not, why not?), you might’ve spotted the exciting announcement that Damnable Tales will feature a foreword written by Benjamin Myers. Probably best known for his 2017 prize-winning novel The Gallows Pole, I’m thrilled he agreed to contribute. I’m a particular fan of his 2014 novel Beastings, a brutal tale of a young girl and a baby relentlessly pursued across rural Cumbria by a sinister priest. With his prose vividly evoking the distant past and harshness of England’s wild rural terrain, Ben's a perfect fit for Damnable Tales.
For anyone interested, I’ve started selling some of my Damnable Tales lino prints over at my shop (slipperyjack.bigcartel.com). The first three available designs being ‘All Hallows’, ‘Man-Size in Marble’ and ‘Out of the Sea’. While you won’t find any of the six designs exclusive to the Unbound campaign, you’ll probably find most of the remaining 17 designs become available to buy over the coming months. Take a gander if you like!
More news soon!
