Hello lovely Shed Folk.
To mark me reaching a quarter of the total I need to get my new book published, I've decided to hold a competition. The winner will win a beautifully hand-bound, utterly unique signed copy of my first book Joined-Up Thinking (see my previous Shedpost). To get some idea of what it will look like, have a butcher's at some images of bookbinder Amanda Slope's work over on my blog here. The five runners-up will get a set of three limited edition signed prints from my cosplayers series. You can see them all here.
So what do you have to do to enter? Simple.
Constable Colgan's collar number, as you can see if you look in the pictures section, is 227. That was my very first and last 'shoulder number' when I was a police officer.
What I want from you are drawings, paintings, photographs or anything else that, in some way, include the theme of 227. It could be 227 pigeons on a roof. Or a fancy clock showing the time at 2.27pm. Or maybe a house number. Like this.
You can use any kind of camera you want. You can use any photo software or apps that you want. You can use any artistic medium. Except interpretive dance. Or mime. hell no. Just so long as 227 is the theme of the entry, I'm happy to accept it.
So, send your entries to me: firstname.lastname@example.org. I'll post the best ones here in the shed and on my blog and will get together a bunch of friends and colleagues to help me pick a winner at 2pm on the 27th June.
