Hitting a Milestone - Line work complete!
I've been working hard getting pages penciled and I am very happy to say, LINEWORK COMPLETE!
After spending the majority of my time over the past four and a half months working my way through the book, I drew the final three pages today. This means I now have a visual for every comic page in the book. The line work is the core visual of each page and (if drawn well) can stand on its own and visually tell the story in its own right. Overall, this is a hell of a lot of work which you can see below.
So whats next? I've been editing the line work as I go but I am going to have another pass at the pages before I move onto inking. As it stands, I'm incredibly happy with the pages. I just want to potentially make a few minor tweaks and edits to panels before I start throwing ink over the pages. This wont take up too much time and I'm expecting to start inking the book in February.
Once I start inking, you can expect some work in process videos and images showing the step mby step process, from pencils into inks. It will be a bit of a change of pace from the linework visuals.
As always, thank you for your support and please share Candles with anyone who might be interested. Now this amount of work is complete, it shows how well under way we are with the project.
All the best,
Signed and Sketched Hardback
