The Next Step

Thursday, 18 January 2018

Hi everyone,

Borrowed has been a wonderful project to work on and I'm so glad that I got the opportunity to work with these talanted authors. At this stage, our crowdfunding project has been live for six months and we're not close to funded. I think that, despite the enthusiasm of those who have pledged, that at this stage, we are unliley to fund and I don't want to tie your money up in a project…

Monday - my own experiences and musings on the writing life.

Tuesday - author spotlight; guest posts and interviews from a variety of authors.

Wednesday - alternate WWW Wednesday and Reviews

Friday - I'm going to keep this loose at the moment. There…

They didn’t have to hold too tightly onto Nora’s arms.  Her rage had more or less left once they had got her into one of the small meeting rooms at the back of the library…

What's New and a Competition

Wednesday, 1 November 2017

Hi folks,

I have been shockingly bad at posting updates here and for that I apologise. I hope to do better in the coming weeks. Let me tell you a bit about what's been going on.

We have a completed draft manuscript of Borrowed which has been through one round of editing (by me) so far. I expect to do another round over the coming weeks but if we reached 100% funding today, I would have a manuscript…

Introducing ... Claire Patel-Campbell

Monday, 11 September 2017

In short, I have always written. As soon as I knew how to use a pen to form letters, I was making up stories, all no doubt long since lost to house moves and clear outs and time – but there it began. I was (still am) also terribly competitive, so when a schoolmate said she liked writing stories too, I made it my goal to write stories that were better than hers. What goes around, comes around...

I started writing in 1989, aged nineteen. Wednesday, 30 August 2017

The Terrible Tale of how Paul Holbrook got off his arse and started writing.

Junior school I wrote a story that my teacher loved so much that she took me to the headteacher, so

that I could show him. She said that it was the best story she had ever read by a student, and the

Introducing ... Shona Kinsella

I thought it would be fun to do a series of posts introducing each of the contributing authors for Borrrowed, telling you a bit about their journey to becoming a writer and how they came up with the idea for their story in Borrowed. I'll try to post one of these each week for the next eight weeks.

My name is Shona Kinsella and I am a fantasy author.

I have loved books for as long…
