Hello dear supporters and Happy New Year!

Forgive the recent silence but I have taken my much needed annual break (and essential brain rest, at a time when I can close my PR office between Christmas and New Year) while also taking time to digest some of the ideas in the first structural edit, which came back just before Christmas!

It has certainly started the cogs turning, as while very positive, there are also some fascinating suggestions for altering the focus of certain supporting characters to enhance tension, and for some additional brushstrokes to feather in the overall ‘world-building.’ All very inspiring and encouraging… however, new material takes time to create, and then to ensure it ‘fits’ … and then more time and distance to hone and polish, so it will be head down at every spare moment (which, for me, are few and far between!) to get Dear Mr Darwin in the best shape it can be, which is, of course, my primary goal for the book.

So, this is basically a request for patience – it may be another month or two (or more, the muse depending) before the book moves to the next stages in prep for launch, though I am still hopeful for a late spring/early summer release, without making any promises. The wheels of bookmaking move slowly and painstakingly, but having waited quite a few years for Mr D to see light of day, a little longer, to get it right and as professional as possible, is more than reasonable, I hope?
