All supporters, friends and relatives of supporters, along with anyone remotely interested in my book are cordiallly invited to a celebratory book reading on 16 June 2016. By this time fingers crossed my book should be nearly ready with all the editing, cover design and other big things done. This date may also be the actual publication date of Ghosts of Chechnya should the book be totally ready by then. (Some extra things may still need to be done. The publication date will be confirmed later and should be mid-late June or the first half of July. If it's not June 16 and I have any energy left, I may organise something for this too). Hope this is all clear.
Date: Evening of 16th June 2016, 7pm for 7.30pm - 10pm
Location: Crouch End, north London (N8) – the café-bar at the top of the Crouch End Picturehouse 165 Tottenham Lane, London N8 9BY. This is a lovely new venue in Crouch End, bright and airy with good vibes and a pleasant outlook. Hot and cold snacks available.
More information to follow once I've sorted out what we will be doing. I'm thinking of readings from the book, a contest with prizes/giveaways, a chance to throw awkward questions at me, possibly a spot of live music... Any ideas?
The event is part of the Crouch End Festival http://www.crouchendfestival.org.
People who can't make it will I hope be treated to an online book launch instead. Goodness knows how this will work. Sounds good though.
