Comics chat & Barking on Declaration of Independents Podcast

Hello Barking Supporters & warmest February welcome to those who have just joined.

I hope you have seen the update for your E-Comic of Chapter 1. If not please log in at, visit the Barking page & check the updates. If you have any problems just email me & I’ll send the PDF sharpish! Also if you’ve pledged for a limited edition print please email me your postal address as they’re ready to be sent out.

I’m about to dive in to sketching out the book after a story arc re-write. Being constricted to 10 chapters has forced a (probably necessary) think about what I want to say in Barking. My thoughts, experiences & research are much greater than this one book can encompass so it can only ever be one aspect of that. Luckily there are many other ways to continue the discussion..

I will be this week’s guest on Declaration of Independents Podcast

<Trigger Warning: contains discussions of suicide & aspects of a mental health crisis>

Rees Finlay, the host & author/artist of The Blue Flame and I discuss Comics, Art, Influences, Mental Health & the power of Auto-Biog Comics in the Graphic Medicine genre. It’s an open, honest discussion & one we’re both very pleased to have had. Check out the podcast on iTunes, YouTube & Soundcloud or follow on Twitter @declarationcast

Available free online from Wednesday 8th February, previous episodes are online now.
