Badtime posters

On Saturday, October 28th Carl and I will be at the Manchester Gothic Festival which is being held in the old Cornerhouse building (70 Oxford Street). The festival is from 9am until 7pm and has a LOT of talks going on so if you’re interested in gothic literature / culture / style then it’s certainly worth calling in for.

But of course there’s an even better reason - US!

Scary times in the 3rd Attic!

Monday, 9 October 2017

Of late I have come to realise that I don’t allow myself the pleasure of reading enough. There’s always an internal pressure to “do” something. This isn’t particularly healthy or beneficial to staying creative. So over the past month or two I’ve made more of any effort to stop and read. Second to whisper news that the stories are almost complete. When I was approached after writing just a handful, I didn’t think I had fifty stories in me. Time, and the cruel use of torture…

We have reached 19% of our funding target and it's closing in on 20%. I think that’s ok. It’s difficult to judge. All I know is that I’m having to learn a lot of new skills on the hoof here.

One thing I do know, however, is that I love writing these odd little stories. Ever since I was approached with the idea of turning them into a book I’ve been pondering over questions and the more this…
