MERRY CHRISTMAS!

A very quick update to thank you, once again, for making Bad Romance a reality. In February, The Spectator published this review & I am still in the process of verifying I am in fact awake...

https://www.spectator.co.uk/2018/02/emily-hill-is-the-saki-of-sex/

In June, a special paperback edition was shipped out to 2000 subscribers of the book curating service Reading In Heels (special thanks go to Alice-Azania Jarvis who had me to her salon at the Ned - the only live speaking appearance I have done about the book & we sell that many copies... imagine what we could have done with a bit more oomph behind us, goddamnit...)

Next year, I expect to have an announcement that will make you all very proud... But I am writing to you right now because... authors with conventional publishers & powerful budgets find their books featured everywhere - in all the Christmas lists. Most haven't been half so well reviewed as ours. There's nothing to be done about that besides the gnashing of my teeth BUT If any of you have the time or inclination to give Bad Romance a boost on Amazon we have now accumulated 30 reviews and there's a vicious rumour going round that 50 does magical things to the algorithms. PLEASE SAY SOMETHING NICE, (BUT ONLY IF YOU MEAN IT, OF COURSE...) & if you know anyone who bought the book via the site their contribution would be a 'verified purchase' which is even better, apparently.

I am away for Christmas already trying to write the next one - bigger, better, it should make you prouder... In the meantime [prepare for drunk capitals] PLEASE CONTINUE TO SPREAD THE WORD, AS EVER ALL OUR SUCCESS IS ENTIRELY DOWN TO YOU, OH BRILLIANT BEAUTIFUL BAD ROMANCER.

Love,

Em xxx
