I've been pretty quiet lately, mostly because I've been hard at work but without a lot of news to share. Writing is like that sometimes. Most of the time. All of a sudden its July and I realised that an update was long overdue.
First of all, I hope you've all enjoyed reading Ashael Rising. If you haven't already, please consider popping on to Amazon or Goodreads and leaving a review. The more reviews you have, the more visible the book becomes on these sites which helps me get it into the hands of more readers.
I'll be doing a reading and book signing at Waterstones Byres Road in Glasgow on the 7th of September. I'll give you more details as soon as I have them but it would be lovely to see soem of you there. I'll also be readign at Fantasycon in Peterborough at the end of September so if you happen to be there, do say hi!
Over the last six months I've been working on an anthology of short stories by my fellow Unbound authors. All of the stories are connected to a small town library, its patrons and its staff. As a group we decided to give all of the profits from the book to the World Literacy Foundation. You can find out more here: http://unbound.com/books/borrowed
I've been working on two novellas - one about a tribe living in the arctic and struggling to cope when the sun fails to rise after midwinter and one about a an artist who receives visions from the gods when she paints. Both should be finshed soon and I hope to have news about their publication shortly thereafter.
I've been making notes and beginning to draft The Vessel of KalaDene Book 2 in my head. Iplan to start writing as soon as I get the novellas finished. I know some of you are eagerly awaiting the next volume so I'll keep you updated!
