Fantasycon and other stories
Ashael made her first appearance at Fantasycon this year and it was brilliant! I met so many wonderful, friendly people and I can't wait to go again next year.
I also attended the first ever Loch Lomond Comic Con, sellign copies of Ashael Rising and chatting to people about the challenges of writing a series.
The word is getting out slowly but surely. I was interviewed for radio show Hannah's Bookshelf a couple of weeks ago. You can listen here: https://www.mixcloud.com/Hannahs_Bookshelf/hannahs-bookshelf-with-special-guest-shona-kinsella-21102017/
You can help Ashael by leaving a review on Amazon or Goodreads - even a very short review helps. You see, the more reviews a book has, the more visible it becomes on the site and the easier it is for readers to find. So, if you've read Ashael Rising, please take a few minutes to review it.
Today marks the first day of NaNoWriMo. For those of you who are unfmailiar Nationa Novel Writing Month (or NaNoWriMo) is a big writing event that takes place each November. Thousands of writers from all over the world, set themsleves the challenge of writing 50,000 words in a month. I'll be using this month to work on The Vessel of KalaDene Book Two, currenlty titled Ashael Falling. My hope is to be ready to start the crowdfunding process for this early next year but I'll keep you informed as we go.
If you haven't pledged for Borrowed yet, please do think about giving it a go. The stories included really are wonderful amd all proceeds will be donated to the World literacy Foundation. Help us to support a very worthwhile cause for years to come. Plus, there's an extra special reward story and a competition to get involved with. Check it out at www.unbound.com/books/borrowed
Take care of yoursleves,
