Funding for The Alzheimer's Diaries: a love story is now at 31%. One third funded  is in sight - thanks to all you generously supportive people.

I've just started a new blog on my website which gives more information about the genesis of this project. Do share the link as widely as you can.

I had an email conversation with John Suchet this week. I knew that John's wife Bonnie had died from Alzheimer's and that he met his new wife, Nula, at the care home which looked after both Bonnie and Nula's husband James who had a different form of dementia. What I didn't realise was that Nula had written a book: The Longest Farewell by Nula Suchet. I have rarely read anything I identify with so closely - her denial, anger, puzzlement and resignation are so real I could reach out and touch them. Nula and I have definitely trodden very similar paths.

Please keep spreading the word about these awful illnesses. We need more openness and a great deal more investment in research. One of the ways we can help get it talked about it through personal accounts like Nula's and mine so can we please tell everyone we know about this crowdfunding campaign to get The Alzheimer's Diaries: a love story published?
