Nick's approval

When Nick, my husband, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2017, I asked him if he'd mind if I blogged about his illness. He was a quiet, quite private sort of man and I fully expected him to be horrified. To my surprise he said: "Yes, why not? You'll do it well and it might help others".

In the event he loved it. I think it was the first time in his life he'd ever been the centre of attention. He'd wander into my office and ask hopefully: "Are you writing about me?" When he was still well enough to turn his computer on he'd often retreat to his own office. "Just reading what you've said about me" he'd say, clearly enjoying it all.

So I reckon he'd be delighted about this book - the sort of memorial that he would have relished. Thank you to those who have already pledged to help me make it a reality.  We've made a good start since launch day on 01 June.
