A big thank you and an even bigger announcement.

I want to start by saying a huge thank you.

To those of you who have already pledged for the book (and there's over one hundred of you already) - you are clearly brilliant people. It means so much to have your support straight out of the gate and, if you haven't already, feel free to announce your philanthropy to the world. Let people know on the social media platform of your choice that you've backed the book and that they should too.

If you need a little something to chivvy them along then I have a small announcement. Actually it's not small, it's HUGE. Those of you who have read the excerpt up on the website will know that All Quiet on the West End Front has a prologue. I am thrilled to announce that it will also have an introduction and that it will be written by none other than MICHAEL MORPURGO himself. You can almost imagine the grin that news put on my face. Hopefully it's done the same for you.

So spread the word, let's get this book out there with people who you think might love it; friends, family, followers - and if you're reading this as someone who hasn't pledged yet then I'd love to see your name in the back of the book with everyone else's. In the meantime, here's a picture of Michael all dressed up to appear with us on stage as a villager. Love that man. Even though his villager costume was better than mine.

Will x
