First I wish to say thank you again to all who subscribed to make the Accordion books a reality, out of a dream, a wish, a desire. For many of you early pledgers this has been a long wait, but hopefully that wait is over now, soon. You should have received emails asking you to confirm your address. It's a long time between conception of an idea and completion, and people move about, so please do check inboxes to see. Lena is working hard in the office to gather up rewards, get bookmarks and postcards printed and post out people's books to them. 

We know what we are doing now with these books ( design, manufacture, all were challenges; to get the right thickness of card, length, how to wrap without shrink wrap as I didn't want plastic, finding the right printer and how many pages there could be etc....) so the next batch should be swifter and they, hopefully, go live for funding in the next couple of weeks and then will be, all being well, published and launched at the Rheged Arts Centre in Cumbria, where I am making an exhibition of myself. 

The next two will be cat and hare, and I have been playing and making decisions about how. The start of something is a little like entering a maze. So many ways to do something. So, cat will be in ink, hare in watercolour, but this time my modern, Winsor and Newton Artist Quality watercolours. I am still using the old palettes from the old boxes, but painting on claybord, which gives such movement to the paint. The cat is ink from an old box. I will write more about these later but here's a sneak peak:

The cats are on circular Two Rivers paper and they are making a batch specially for me. All the artwork from these will be for sale from the Rheged Arts Centre, next June. 

Meanwhile I have rediscovered the meditation of knitting, have completely changed my diet and have a new and strange multi-genre book brewing, and am getting on too slowly with teh Book of Birds.
