Party to Murder

Saturday, 17 March 2018

Hello m'lovely sleuthing pledgers.

Things are still looking pretty healthy in A MURDER TO DIE FOR sales land. I went into my local Waterstones last Saturday to sign a few copies only to be told that they'd sold three copies that day. Wow. If that's happening at other stores, I'll be a happy bunny!

So, some updates for you ...

If you pledged at the murder-myster launch party level, invites should be arriving in your inbox now or very soon. If you don't get an invite by the middle of next week, please contact catherine@unbound.com. And please do RSVP asap so we have a good idea of numbers. We are lucky to have the fantastic Charaderie company running the event and having an accurate idea of attenance numbers will help immensely in their planning. It's going to be a fun evening!

If you pledged for the tour - I'll be looking at dates shortly. Hopefully today's snow is the last of it and the weather will starts getting better soon.

The book now has 55+ reviews on Amazon (and three on Amazon USA) and most are 5***** which is humbling and hugely gratifying. On Goodreads too, the reviews have passed the 50 mark and are pretty much all 5*****. I couldn't be much happier.

Well, I could. Pledges for the sequel THE DIABOLICAL CLUB have all but ceased. Which is surprising if so many people enjoyed the first book. Since my last update nearly three weeks ago, the total has crept up by a measly 1% from 35% to 36% despite me tweeting and Facebooking at a level of frequency that can only be described as annoying for everyone.

If you haven't supported the book yet and you can afford to do so, please do. I'm going to add some more pledge levels this week which, I hope, might get things going again. If not, we could find ourselves n the situation of having no sequel ...

And then, how will we ever find out the truth behind Agnes Crabbe's missing novel?
