Competition time - The Result!

What fun that was! And thank you so much to the 39 people who entered my Agatha Christie-themed competition!

Nine of you got all 12 of the Agatha Christie novel titles I was after.

The titles were ...

The Big Four (on clock face)
The man in the brown suit (er ... the man in the brown suit)
Unfinished Portrait (chap on the left. Or right?)
Five little pigs (Obvs!)
The ABC Murders (anag. Ruth McBreades)
Hickory Dickery Dock (mouse on top of clock)
Postern of Fate (anag. Peter Soffanto)
The Pale horse (anag. Lee Hophearst)
Giant’s Bread (anag. Brian Sadget)
Absent in the Spring (anag. Tess Perth-Binning)
Cards on the Table (anag. Ancestral Hotbed)
Dumb Witness (chap on the right, or left!)

The winner was drawn at random from a hat and is ... Pamela McCarthy!

Well done Pamela - I'll ensure that Unbound upgrades your pledge level accordingly. All you have to do is give me a name for a character and I'll write them into the book.

Thanks once again for entering people - this kind of author/reader interaction is what Unbound is all about. :)

Well done Pamela! Looks like I was one of the people to get all the titles right too (almost as happy about that as if I'd won the prize!). Thank you Stevyn for running such a fun competition.

Thanks Marcus! Yes, there were a few of you who got all 12. Just a shame I only had one prize to give away. But well done! I might do another comp to coincide with Halloween or something like that. We'l see :)

Good result Pamela! I got 11 out of 12 :-( but good fun, I was humming and hawing between two possibilities and picked the wrong one.
Thank you Stevyn for running this, I would enjoy another competition if you wanted to run another one.

Well done Pamela! ... Postern of Fate, The Pale Horse, Giant’s Bread, Absent In The Spring and Cards On The Table all completely eluded me ... *oblivious*

Thanks everyone & thanks Stevyn. I am really over the moon about winning!

I found this fun to take part in, though it really did take me ages to figure out all the answers. I started work the day the competition came out, got my first 6 quite quickly (the non anagrams) and then got stuck. After spending a good long time thinking up synonyms for Ancestral Hotbed that could possibly be Agatha Christie books I finally tried some anagrams. And if anyone else kept the detective inspector in their anagram letters for ages, thinking there must be more long titled books - me too! Finally a few days before deadline I came back to it with fresh eyes and finished.
