Word of mouth
A week to go before publication, and word of mouth recommendations are beginning to spread for A Love of Two Halves. It has been selected by the digital book club The Pigeonhole for serialization. Some 240 subscribers will soon begin receiving the book in the form of 'staves' - sections that can be read on their mobile device for a limited period of time. They can make comments, and other readers can reply. I can respond too, as the author. Serialization begins tomorrow, Saturday 28th September.
The Pigeonhole is a relatively new service, and showcases books by bestselling novelists such as Ken Follett, as well as relative newcomers such as myself. Editors at The Pigeonhole said of A Love of Two Halves that it is a 'fantastic new novel from PJ Whiteley', and a 'laugh out loud tale'. The link is here.
Also, I'm amazed that already over 60 people have signed up to the free event in Leeds on 13th November. There's limited space, so do click on the Eventbrite link if you want to be sure of a place.
For my supporters, I would like to extend a special invitation to the London launch, taking place at the House of St Barnabas on the afternoon of Saturday 16th November. Again, space is (even more) limited, and I'm not widely publicizing this. Again, the free tickets are available on Eventbrite.
The keen interest in the book so far is not guarantee of happy readers and good sales, but it is tremendously encouraging. The premise does seem to hold appeal. Hope you enjoy.
