Progress and Radio Playlist Pledges!
Just time for a quick update, as we go into summer shenanigans. Thanks once again for all the support - we are comfortably over the line, and you would have noticed that the status is "Writing in progress". This doesn't mean I'm only starting to write now of course; I am, however, tinkering with the manuscript as you might expect, in anticipation for the call to send it forth into the editorial machine.
There's still a number of steps to go: editing; design; pre-press... and more, I expect. To finally have reached this point is still a bit surreal, but judging by the progress of other Unbound projects, we're only months away from you having the book in your hands, most likely in 2021.
In the meantime, we have 4 pledges that need some action!
Three people have pledged for the Radio Playlist reward. So, each of you need to email me with your list of ten songs and an explanation of why you've chosen each one, along with any shout-outs you want me to give and any projects or interests of your own you might want me to promote on air. We're just a community internet radio station but, belive it or not, we have global reach. We've got listeners throughout the UK, at least one in Italy, a couple in France that I know of, some in the USA and even The Netherlands! Email your playlists (you know who you are) to: email@example.com
Also: one of you has pledged for the short story reward. We need to talk details, as I'll write that as soon as I've sent the novel manuscript off, so please email me at the same address.
For those who don't know (and I'm sure you do because I go on about it often enough), I volunteer as a presenter at www.radioabbey.com, based in Kenilworth. My show is The Classic Rock & Prog Show, on each Wednesday night from 7pm to 9pm and thereafter to Listen Again on Mixcloud.
Have a great summer! We'll have some more news soon!
