On the radio!
Good afternoon everyone (or good morning, or evening, or brunchtime, whenever you're reading this),
As of today, we've reached 15% of our target with 75 backers. It's been wonderful to see a whole range of people pre-ordering the book: old schoolfriends; Facebook friends; family; work colleagues; fellow creatives (including rock musicians, writers, artists); and complete strangers! It's been hard work trying to reach everyone who I think would want to support either me as a writer or the book itself, but it's been worth it! Just think, though: if each of you could encourage just one other person to pre-order the book, we'd double where we are in no time! It's just a matter of time now, and I'm so excited that you're part of the journey now.
As part of the efforts to spread awareness, there's been some great interest from World War One groups and pages on social media, some of which have resulted in backers. Feel free to share any of those posts! Also, I popped in to our local community radio station Radio Abbey to discuss the book on the Brunch With the Bradleys show. You can see a video clip of part of the interview here.
You can listen the whole show on www.radioabbey.com - click on 'Listen Again' and it'll take you to the show on Mixcloud where, incidentally, you can also catch my rock show that I present each Wednesday.
Once again, THANK YOU for having faith in me and the project. As an extra reward, I'll be posting a bonus extract from the book in the next Update.
