My First Fiver!
I've just realized something - this week someone bought my book I earned my first ever fiver as a writer! Earlier this week, I reached the publisher's funding target which covers their costs and thereafter I will receive 50% from book sales, so thank you Derek Wilson, I don't know you personally, but this is a landmark fiver.
Of course, like most writers, I burn the midnight oil writing, doing the safe career (teaching Art) by day. I burned through six months of oil writing my book, followed by three months of drudgery finding a publisher, then three months of grovelling on the marketing, so a year's work altogether. I had the best time for the six months of writing so this fiver goes towards the drudgery and grovelling period. Such would be the beauty of being an established writer - someone else would do the nasty bits.
Anyhow, all you stars who brought my book into existence, don't forget my humble chronicle if you need a present for a friend or to recommend to someone who likes a well-written comedy with a carefully plotted plot, along with a few mysteries which will keep you guessing, Agatha. With your help I may, one day, not have to do the nasty bits!
