Guess who made the Top Ten?
Summer is here!
I'm typing feverishly in order to claim that as I write - the SUN IS OUT. As someone who has spent a lot of time outside recently, this is big news.
More big news is that it will soon be 5 months since 100 Voices launched on Unbound, 5 months of campaigning, coercing and collaborating with new friends to make our book even more amazing than it was when we first deep-winter-dreamed it. In the last update I let you know that I was (and continue to be) jumping for joy that Deborah Frances-White will be writing our foreword! We've also introduced new writers to the collection - meaning you get even more for your money - including spectacular writing from Yvonne Battle-Felton, Abda Khan, Tania Hershman, Lucy Zion and Natalie Twum-Barima.
Perhaps that breadth of brilliance is one of the reasons we've made it into the top 10 Best Books that aren't yet made (!) We are very beautiful X cited to be in such excellent company - check out our pals at Nothing In The Rule Book here : https://nothingintherulebook.com/2019/05/27/the-greatest-books-that-havent-yet-been-made/
You, our backers are our biggest asset. We are hugely grateful to you for daring to believe in a bunch of scrappy dreamers, by pledging to make our book of over 100 women each telling their personal story of achievement one step closer to a reality! You know why you're supporting us, why you feel it's important to show the world how many different women's stories there are out there, and how much talent we have if given a chance.
We are only 50 copies away from getting into the (almost) all clear. If we make 50% we are very likely to make the book happen. So please tell your friends about us and why your think women's voices matter. It's pay day for some people. It's the women's World Cup and England are doing well (sorry Scotland). It's SUNNY.
Tell your pals they can pledge here >https://unbound.com/books/100-voices/
If you're on social media - we'll be twittering @100voices100ye1 #50to50
Thank you for all you're doing. We can make this happen!
