A very quick update to share the good news - we are now 85% funded!

I am absolutely thrilled to bits that we’ve reached this milestone, a massive thanks to all of you for telling your friends and spreading the word about our book of stories by 100 of the most talented writers in the UK (who happen to be female). These stories need to be shared, and we are very close now to making our book a reality.  

We could potentially reach 90% funded by the end of the year. Why is that important? I am told that is when all the final backers will come in to tip us over the line. To help us reach that magic number and mainly to bring a bit of winter cheer, we’re putting on two events. We’d be thrilled if you could share with your friends and family, and do join us for our party next week. I don't know about you but I certainly need something to look forward to! 

Christmas Bingo - 17 Dec!

The first is a raucous evening of entertainment, where you’ll be delighted with performances from some of our writers including observational writer and twitter queen Miranda Keeling (16.k followers on twitter!) whose smash hit performance at our Christmas do last year got us fully in the mood for the festive season, and Stand-up comic Vanessa Hammick who can be seen on Sarah Pascoe’s Out of Her Mind, showing on the BBC. Plus a puppet show by Amie Taylor and more! As well as a picture round, word games in your teams and plenty of “break out time” to reunite with your pals on a zoom call with a difference. You'll get a bingo card and a cocktail recipe, as well as a team logo for your backgrounds if you sign up in advance. I'll be sending a bottle of something sparkling to the bingo champion. It's £10.50 and you can sign up with 3 clicks, all on Eventbrite  here

New Year workshop 

The second is for the writers, or the people who love them - a brilliant creativity booster workshop in January with the awardwinning writer Emily Devane. Emily is a brilliant teacher and her flash fiction writing is precise, emotive and generally the kind I dream of writing. She’ll be helping participants find their voice using flash fiction (or microfiction) techniques and playing with perspective. It’ll be a warm and supportive crowd, suitable for all levels and It would be wonderful if you could share with anyone who might be interested. Here’s the link
