You Took the Last Bus Home: Shed Sounds, Volume 2

Dearest Shedded Wheats,

Here is the second audio instalment of my poems, as promised. This clutch* features the following:

  • Frisbee
  • The Chelsea Flower Show Massacre
  • Tony
  • Every Song on the Radio Reminds Me of You
  • The Love Song of Brian H. Bilston

I owe you all a supporters-only poem, too. I’ll get to it once Countryfile has finished.

Things are hotting up as we approach the ‘business end’ of proceedings. Hopefully, you should have received an email asking you to double-check where you’d like your copy of You Took the Last Bus Home sent. It may be possible to send it directly to a charity shop to save you the trouble in January. But you’d have to ask Unbound about that.

There have been sightings of the book but I have yet to see it myself. Those who have sighted it report that it’s a thing of beauty.

Anyway, onwards and outwards.

Brian

*please note, I use this term deliberately. The Oxford Book of Collective Nouns for Collected Poetry defines the scale as

five poems = a ‘clutch’,
ten poems = a ‘batch’
twenty poems = a ‘crotch’
all poems = a ‘hotch-potch’
