"Woooaaah-oooh. We're halfway there..."

Happy Friday

Just wanted to update you on the progress of NOTHING BUT A GOOD TIME. Last week was a big week for 80s metal, thanks to the flurry of interest around Def Leppard announcing tickets for their Hysteria revival tours, and finally releasing their back catalogue onto streaming services. This also seemed to drive a lot of people towards our crowdfunder, and today we nudged over the 50% mark, less than three weeks into the project. Firstly, an enormous thank you to all of you for pledging so far - obviously, without your support this isn't going to happen. Secondly, if you didn't see it, there was a great feature over at Classic Rock explaining a bit more about myself and the book, which you can read here. And thirdly, the one thing that we've really seen from the campaign so far is that nothing generates new pledges like old-fashioned word-of-mouth. So, if you've got time today and can post a link to the trailer (https://unbound.com/books/good-time/) and a few words about why you're supporting the project, that would really help (I'm on Twitter @justindquirk if you're going to tag me in and the publishers are @unbounders). The faster we hit 100%, the faster I can stop rattling the tin for tips and sit down at the desk and get writing, and the faster you get your book.

Again, thanks for your support, and have a great weekend.

Justin

ps - If you want to see some highlights from my ongoing metal research (old promo t-shirts, rare Kerrang! covers, long-lost adverts etc) you can follow me over on Instagram @No_ufos. There'll also probably be quite a lot of photos of cats and stuff from when I'm out running, but I'll do my best to keep it metal focussed. \m/

pps - special thank you to Jim Lacey, whose pledge got us over 50% this week. He's in a fantastic one-man punk band called Young Francis who make great music, and are (is?) a blast live. Check them out here: https://youngfrancis.bandcamp.com/
