Thanks to your support, Escape Everything! is just about ready to go.
The handsome young devils at Unbound (flattery surely can't hurt - I might want to write a sequel) sent me the typeset proofs this week.
Once I've signed off on them, all 256 pages go off to be proof-read by a cherrypicked squad of chartered librarians each equipped with a jeweller's eyeglass (and the book has already been redrafted, edited, and copy-edited - I dare you to find a mistake). Finally, mere weeks from now, it will be printed and shipped.
And look here! It's the cover! Oooooh!
The cover was illustrated by Mr. Thomas, the same chap who did the Lucifer Box covers for Mark Gatiss. Isn't it something?
And look there! It's a page! I post this to give you a sense of what the book will feel like on the eyeballs.
I'm extremely happy with the ritzy, mid-century typographic style by Mr. Brett of Bracketpress.
Now see here, darlings. As a supporter, your name will be listed in the back of the book. Please check your email for instructions on how to be sure your name is displayed precisely how you'd like it.
By 29th October, the list of names will be considered final. If you want to reccomend the book to a friend who might also like to be namechecked, now's the time to do it.
