Hey all, just wanted to drop a line and keep you up to date on how the book is coming along.
So, here's the latest, work on the text for Things I Learned From Mario's Butt is nearly done. We have a couple of remaing guest contributors delivering their text this week, but after that we're text complete.
I've booked the final week of January as time off from my day job, and will be using that week to finalise the layout, sort all the formatting, and make sure that I know exactly which words appear on which pages of the book. I'll be making sure everything is polished, finished, and exactly how I want it in time for the end of the month.
From that point, the text will be with Unbound, who will start all their editing and layout tasks, while I finish work with Zack on the art. There were some art delays, due in part to needing to finalise the text content before we could finalise the images to accompany them, but rest assured this month is going to be a lot of work on art, and we will get that submitted to Unbound as early as we can. They'll have some of the artwork the end of this month alongside the text, which will hopefully allow them to get a start on the layouts thanks to knowing the dimensions they'll have to fill etc.
Thank you all again so much for your support. By the end of this month my part of this book should be done, and I am excited to get to the part where we start making this word document into a fully fledged work of art.

P.S. In terms of backer rewards like Skype calls etc, we can't get onto those until the crowdfund closes, which it will soon. Rest assured we have not forgotten about reward fulfillment, we just need to get a few other parts of the project out the way first.
