Very exciting news! Just won prize!

Dear Shed Dwellers,

I am up to 72 % ...... and I have just been awarded the V.S. Pritchett Memorial Prize for 2014 by The Royal Society of Literature. I went to the award ceremony in London last night. The judges were Dame Margaret Drabble, Tibor Fischer and Helen Oyememi.

A.L. Kennedy read one of her stories and I then read mine (which is called Ray The Rottweiler).

You can find details on the RSL website here:

http://rslit.org/v-s-pritchett

The press release is either right at the page or right down the bottom of the page.

Ray The Rottweiler will be published on-line by Prospect Magazine (soon, I hope).

I am very grateful to the RSL and hope very much that this will help me get those last few subscriptions in the bag. I know many of you have already been very generous and helpful in spreading the word but still ....if you do feel able to do more, please don't hold back.

This is an important moment for stillbirth awareness. The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists have just launched a major new campaign called Every Baby Counts which is aimed at cutting the rate of stillbirths (finally).

More info is here:

Things are changing (finally) and it is great to be part of that. Thanks so much for supporting me.

Alice
