Hello all! This is the first, official for-supporters update. Secret stuff is happening.
First off, happy new year!
Now that 2019's begun, I'm deep into the first stage of the book production.
I've (nearly) finished remastering all artwork for Book 1, which is 126 pages total. Whew! I'm moving on to the remainder of Book 2.
I've also majorly updated the design of the enamel pin, after reading Welcome to Pin Hell, an advice zine by artist Hannako Lambert on enamel pins. I'm a little less daunted by the process now, so...*drumrolls*
BAM! It's a very major update. I've decided to be bold and switch colours from pastel pink to red, to compliment the colour of the cover of Volume I. I've also trimmed back the metal inside the wings and tail, so that the feathers look like archways and the tail looks like a minaret. I'm truly happy with it now, and aside from possible minor tweaks by the manufacturers (in case of design issues), this enamel pin is final.
I'm planning to restrict the quantities that will be sold through the Unbound website, so only 200-ish pins (in total) will be available. And 150 people have already claimed a pin! Anyone who wants to add an enamel pin to their book order, follow these instructions:
1. If you're a backer in the First Edition Hardback or Ebook Edition tiers, upgrade your pledge to the First Edition Hardback and Enamel Pin tier or the Collector's Edition Silver or Gold tiers.
2. Everyone else, please email georgia@unbound.co.uk and specify that you'd like to add an enamel pin to your pledge. A custom tier will be created for you to upgrade to.
