Hi everyone, I hope you're all doing ok and that you've enjoyed Underdogs: Tooth and Nail if you've already read it.
For the first time in my life, a book I wrote is up for an award! It's been longlisted The Guardian's Not the Booker Prize, and they're taking votes on the year's best books right now.
By my count, at time of writing Underdogs: Tooth and Nail needs ten or so votes to hit the top three and end up being shortlisted. So if ten of you are willing/able to give it a push, I'd be extremely, extremely grateful. Here's what to do:
- Visit the voting page here, and go down to the comments section. There should be a "Sign in or create your Guardian account". Click "Sign in", because you can sign in with Facebook or Google, so you don't need a Guardian account.
- Leave a comment beginning with "VOTE- Underdogs: Tooth and Nail" with a 100ish word description of why you liked it.
- Vote for another book on the list a similar way, preferably in the same comment (the competition requires you to vote for two or the vote won't count). Sadly the two books can't be from the same publisher, so it'll need to be one not from Unbound.
If you have any questions or are struggling with something, please contact me via Underdogs' Facebook page and I'll happily help. Thanks a lot, and I'd really appreciate every vote that gets Underdogs: Tooth and Nail closer to an actual, real-life award.
United by our differences,
Chris Bonnello
