The Magic Bundle - New Pledge Level and other news.

I am thrilled to be able to offer a new pledge level to back Salt Lick that includes these utterly beautiful and very appropriate cow rings made by one of my favourits artist/jewellers Frances Boyle. I already have one of my own given to me at Christmas, it feels like my good luck charm. And now I have secured the last three to offer as pledge rewards. In the bundle are some hand-printed cow cards with some of the gentle observations of the Cow Chorus in Salt Lick. Also a charm hand-made by me, each one unique, made from drift wood and other recycled materials. There is only three of these available so don't wait too long.

I do believe that all three being take up would take my funding up to 60%!

As a response to the lockdown, I have started a drawing and art group on Facebook, called Middle Distance Arts. I realised that drawing, something I have always loved, is a perfect activity for these times. It is absorbing, creative, and I would argue, the definition of mindfulness. Time passes when you get into drawing. And you are learning a way of seeing and thinking, wordlessly, that connects the exterior world with the mind, through hand and eye. This sounds complicated perhaps but it couldn't be simpler: drawing is a response to looking closely at the immediate world around you. It is noticing. All people are welcome to join the group whether to seriously learn more about drawing or to dip in now and then for a couple of minute's distraction. All are valid. And it's all free - lessons, prompts, videos and images about drawing. I hope to see some of you there.
