Hey there
Our project, The Good Immigrant, has been a resounding success as far as I'm concerned. We've sold over 20k copies. We've been featured everywhere from BBC Breakfast to Hay to Lin-Manuel Miranda's Twitter. It's been an incredible journey for the writers, alongside all the other things they do, like tour the country, write plays at the National, have important books come out, visit galaxies far far away, and so on.
You made all of this happen. You, our faithful subscribers, who pledged for the book. From day 1 of the release of the crowdfunder, to day 3 when we hit 102% to now where we're about to be 200% funded. We were a bestseller before the book was released, featured as Radio 4's book of the week, done panels at pretty much every major literary festival and had mostly excellent reviews.
You made all of this happen. You. Without you, we'd be nothing. So thank you for taking us on this journey. If your name's in the back of the book, or on the Unbound supporters page, it's down to you. I'm only sending this to pledgers. I have a separate message to send to the general public. But it all started with you.
The book is out in paperback this week (4th May, to celebrate Riz's role in Rogue One, obviously). And now we've seen how far we can push this small, brilliant little project, let's keep it going. Please keep telling your friends, your family, racist uncle Brian, your local UKIP or Tory candidate, your social media peoples, whoever needs to hear it -- buy The Good Immigrant.
Thank you for everything you've done so far.
love
