My goodness, we are galloping toward the finish line, at 78% in a little less than three weeks! What a heart-warming, exciting process it has been! Thank you each and every one of you, recent supporters and those here since the very beginning! Truly, this is a great weaving of collaborative effort, and we couldn't do it without you.
Perhaps we can reach the finish line by the one-month (one moon) mark? Well, to help us there, I am really excited to announce that a new edition of the book is now available, a very special, leather-bound edition, signed and complete with gold-embossing. This leather-bound is printed by a small and artisanal press, so this is going to be an utterly gorgeous and collectible volume, the sort to cherish like a piece of magic always.
I have a soft spot for old leather-bound books; they seem to hold the words and stories within in a more timeless, more careful way. Like the words are also a spell. (Above, a volume of Tennyson's poetry, the Kalevala, and one of my notebooks.) Indeed, I have developed the somewhat inconvenient writerly habit of only being able to compose stories in one kind of leather-bound notebook (Tatterdemalion was written in one of these). Tatterdemalion seems the perfect book to be leather-bound, like an artifact from another time and place, a volume that might be found in a hermit's hut at the edge of the forest, on a shelf illuminated by candles.
