Hello lovely patrons.
I'm sorry that there's been such a long gap between now and my last update but, to be honest, I had nothing to share with you. The world has gone off-kilter in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic and we've had to adapt to new circumstances. Certainly, I've been locked away in Colgan Towers and rarely going out except to shop or walk the dogs. There have been no book festivals, no talks or tours, nothing for me to report. And, of course, with lockdown many things ground to a halt or slowed down - including publishing.
However, there is now light at the end of the tunnel. The mighty wheels of publishing are turning once more and my structural editor has recently returned the manuscript for Cockerings to me to look at. There's not much for me to tweak to be honest - which is nice - and I hope to have it finished shotly and returned for a second edit and proof read. Once that's done, it goes for typesetting and design. And the cover artwork of course (I'll reveal it as soon as I see it). Unbound tells me that the book is in their publishing list for the Summer of 2021.
So, I hope you had a good Christmas despite the limitations placed upon us all for the greater good and let's hope that 2021 is a much better year for us all.
