Hello friends!
Firstly - some good news! 'Philosophers' Dogs' is now over 75% of the way towards our funding target. That is, quite simply, amazing - and we couldn't have got there without you, our wonderful, brilliant, superlative-defying supportes. So thank you, thank you, thank you. You are genuinely the best (but you knew that already, right?)
Now, what does that mean for the book? Well, apart from being *that* much closer to publication, it means we can really start thinking about the final push towards the finishing line. We've been consulting with some of the smartest, wisest doggos on how we might do just this, and have a few exciting ideas that we'll be announcing over the coming days/weeks through this newsletter - so do keep an eye out for invitations to philosophical pub "pup" quizzes and for some new rewards and pledge levels.
But what we'd also like to use this moment to do is to get you wonderful folk more involved in our communications. So, if you're a dog lover with a very good boy or girl who is well-deserving of some scholastic recognition, we'd love for you to send us some pictures and info about your faithful pooch so that we can put together a short newsletter update about the amazing dogs who are helping make this book a reality.
And, if you're a philosopher yourself, it would be absolutely brilliant to speak to you about your philosophical theories and - of course - whether these were inspired by any particular dogs you had the pleasure of meeting; as well as how your theories compare with the works of Mary Woof-stonecraft, Sun Shih-tzu, Jean-Jacques Russell, Karl Barks, et al.
If you're interested in being featured in this newsletter (and on our social media platforms), the best way is to get in touch with us over at Twitter (@PhilosophyDogs) or via Facebook (Philosophers Dogs).
Now, onwards and upwards! There's only a quarter of the way to go - which is surely a thing to celebrate. Please do remember to tell your friends and family about our book and do share the link to our project with them!
