I’m currently working part-time for a sustainability charity, and noticed that there were a few advertising banners left over from previous events. They’re made of PVC and pretty durable, but often end up lying in cupboards as there’s not much call for them after they’ve served their original purpose. I suggested to my boss that I turn them into bags - and fortunately she was good enough to give me the green light! All the profits from the bags go back into the work we do in the community. It’s win win really, and prevents the banners going into landfill too.
My Mobile Makery journey continues in all sorts of ways - even though Bambi and I aren’t out on the road so much at the moment. I’m learning that sometimes it’s not about travelling thousands of miles to search for inspiration, but about seeing what’s right under your nose that counts.
