It’s chilly here in the West Country but still glorious for brisk country rides over the loping hills around Bristol. Apart from these brief hill climbs to get my heart pumping, I’m generally in a more stationary position, sitting here at my desk finishing the writing of “Mind is the Ride”, so that the manuscript can be handed over to the publishers. As we speak, I’m writing out the section of the important ride through India and its intriguing philosophies that deal with movement and stillness and then the return journey home and correspondingly, the completion of the bicycle frame that represents the triangular “map” of the journey. I’m pretty excited about this book being so close to taking its physical form, we’re also currently lining up an illustrator to draw the bike parts that will prefigure each chapter which makes it feel all the more real!
Thank you for being so patient whilst this is being completed. I promise you, the wait will be worth it! For those of you who have pledged for particular rewards, such as posters and goodie bags, I’m working with Unbound so that these can be sent out to you as soon as possible. Hopefully within the next month. I’ll also be getting in touch with those that pledged for specific rides and I’ll continue to keep you updated on all of the above.
In the meantime, happy riding! May your wheels be true, your chain flowing, the sun be warming and the wind alive on your face.
