A new year, a full moon, 12th night, and a cloudy sky for me at the moment. My house is peaceful with candles and firelight. Warm with sleeping animals. REALLY hoping to see the Wolf Moon.
This update comes to you after a long silence and much work, just to give you a heads up on a new project, Wild Folk. Born on Exmoor during a writing retreat, Wild Folk is a collaboration between myself and Tamsin Abbott. For the most part I will be writing and the book will be illustrated by Tamsin's gorgeous glass work. If you aren't familiar with her work do take a look. Here is a link to her website. And also, although we have prints as pledges you may not want to wait the two years it will take us to create our wild creature, so here is a link to her prints and cards. Of course it is possible you have already seen Tamsin who has been on Countryfile a couple of times now.
It is early days, but you can pledge support at the Wild Folk page, and watch the wonderful film made by Seven Fables. More of a meditation on art and books than a sales pitch really. Beautiful, layers, with a soundtrak by Dougal Abbott.
So, here's the link to Wild Folk. Tomorrow I will be back into painting birds, but I will also go seek to speak to the ravens. For those who support, Tamsin and I will do regular updates to keep everyone in touch with progress, and there will be some content that is subscriber only- readings and the like. Entry level is £25.
Oh, and I met a white raven once, by a river, but that is another story.
