I hope you are well and enjoying the sun. I just wanted to write to update you on the process. Writing a novel is a long, arduous task. I have a brilliant editor at Unbound, Liz Garner, who aside from being a fine novelist in her own right, is also the most sensitive editor I've ever had. Liz has gone through the text with supreme care, and I am now at work making adjustments. There is nothing structural to be done: it's a question of refining a few places here and there. However, this refining is often the hardest part.
The deadline for the completed edit is mid-June, and I'm well on track to reach that. It's a delight to return to the manuscript of THE ARROW OF APOLLO - having finished the first draft in late 2016, it now feels fresh and new.
