“Something appalling, something appealing. Something for everyone…” That pretty much sums up the essence of comedy, thanks to Stephen Sondheim and his wise and wacky vaudevillian vision of ancient Rome. I don’t want anyone to think my old shed has rusted up simply because I haven’t posted anything on here for a while. Far from it. In fact, like Arthur 'Two Sheds' Jackson, I’ve even been considering buying another shed to fit everything in. And please, let’s never discuss the potential second shed again!
Anyway, it’s August and that can only mean one thing. Well, one major thing where comedy is concerned. It’s the Edinburgh Festival. As like most years, I am planning a jaunt up to the land of deep-fried mars bars and desperate flyer distribution. It’s always a perfect year to soak up comedy heroes old and new, which is kind of how I love to spend my time.
So, no revealing of a potential 'Forgotten Hero' this time round. Just a 'Thank You' to all of you. You are supporting this labour of love book of mine and it will happen. Just tell your friends! Ta.
