The last few days have been brilliant. I've had loads of excited messages from people who have received their copies of Backstreets. Some of you have even read it!! (Or at least as far as the end of chapter 4 and felt it necessary to comment. You'll know why when you get that far). And there have been some fab photos posted on Facebook and elsewhere of the book out in the real world. For those of you who haven't got your copy yet, it should be on its way very soon. You can check your account details with Unbound to find out if it is awaiting dispatch or is already on its way.
I hope the logistics work out so that you all get your limited edition before the trade edition comes out. From 12th July, The Backstreets of Purgatory will be available in bookshops and on-line. But it won't be quite the same version as yours. Although the trade version is very cool looking with almost the same cover, the binding of the special edition is waaaay more fancy. None of that fancy red ribbon business for normal folk.
Who'd have thought it? My novel in bookshops. Obviously, the moment can't pass without a celebration. I've been sending out personal invites to my book launch at Waterstones on Byres Road in Glasgow. Of course, Glasgow isn't handy for everyone but with any luck I'll get some events organised for September (I'll keep you posted).
If you haven't received a personal invitation, it's because either I don't have your email address or I judged it might be a little far for you to come. (Alternatively, if I know your email and you follow my other website, this is probably the third invitation I've sent you. I am nothing if not persistent).
