Cabin fever

I've just finished reading the Sunday papers and I won't use this place to add to the referendum vitriol or the latest tragedy in the name of ... whatever it turns out to be. We all need a refuge in times like these and it may be no coincidence that I saw several features on huts. I'm a girl who dreams of owning a hut, if a treehouse is out of the question (it is). And what we laughingly call our courtyard manages only a log store. So here's my Writing Shed upstairs. It faces west, so the sun should be pouring through this window now - but it's a British summer.

Soon I'll be sharing with you the various decisions faced by my managing editor Isobel. I think the first is going to be typesetting designs - and we value your input. We still seem to be on schedule but this strange time of waiting is hard. On a positive note, my knitting is improving and work has started on the other unique book, too. Next week I'll make a start on the ink sketches until I have a dozen that I'm sufficiently pleased with.

Odd that the next time I write a new post we may be a small island all alone again.
