BIG NEWS! I have just finished the main text of my book - Huge milestone!

I freely admit that the time it is taking me to write "Running the Americas" is sort of ridiculous, but I am pushing to get it done!

Since I finished actually running the Americas, I have done a further 26,500km of adventuring including cycling across Australia, running across Iceland, climbing 6 mountains over 5000m, hiking across Utah, leading camels across Mongolia. Each adventure feels a little like it may have been a way to avoid actually writing!

Well today, I finished writing about the actual adventure and now just have to edit the prologue and epilogue.

The only problem is that I have a book that currently stands at 125,773 words and Unbound won't accept the transcript or help with editing until it is down to 90,000 words. I also wanted to explore spliting it into two books - Part 1 - North & Central America and Part 2 - South America, but Unbound rejected this as an option.

So, the next challenge is to to cut 35,775 words without losing the essence of the adventure.

Thank you for your continued patience!
