Yesterday you all got an exciting email from Unbound indicating that we are tantalisingly close to delivery of Why Do Birds Suddenly Disappear? I mentioned in my last email that I shall be signing copies on April 10th, and that date still holds, just in case anyone was in any confusion. So yes, close, but not 'it's in the post' close.

Meanwhile, despite the rain and cold, here's a wheatear. Considering it's just flown from Africa (AFRICA! Jiminy cricket!) it looks amazingly perky. I walked to the shops this morning and already need a lie down.
